This is a simple at home test you try on your eggs. All eggs share in common, they dont float unless some of the egg has began to decay(IE rot) and be replaced by gas. A fresh, 100% undecayed egg will sink flat and have no rise to it. As the decay takes place gas in the egg will push on the large end of the egg and act like a ballon lifting the egg. By the time the egg lifts off the bottom..oh boy..stiiinkie. When it lifts the egg upright fat end up, then the egg has left the fresh factor behind
