I think this is the italian potato-military. Maybe the guy spinned so fast and for so long that in the end he had fainted... I don't know how you can get out of a situation like that and I'd be grateful if someone with knowledge of these problems could explain. Actually I don't see the reason for a rope anyway, only the military use it.
