Pelosi said she was saddened by Benjamin Netanyahu's speech as it was an insult to the intelligence of the U-S as part of the P-five-plus-one group negotiating with Iran. A senior U-S administration official has also said Netanyahu offered no concrete action plan or alternative on Iran's nuclear program during his speech. According to the official, asking Iran to completely give up its nuclear program is not a plan. He added that any such move would fail to gain the support of any country. The official further criticized Netanyahu, saying the logic behind his speech was not nuclear, but rather sought regime change in Iran.
