Mayesville, SC - The Sumter County Sheriff's Office is looking for help in locating two men for an attempted burglary at Mayesville convenience store. The suspects were caught on camera trying to enter the store on Florence Highway this past Wednesday around midnight. The two men were using a truck with a chain to attempt to gain access to the store. They had two failed attempts and left, only to return 15 minutes later to try to enter the store again. This attempt also ultimately failed and the suspects eventually left the scene without gaining access to the building. The first suspect is described as 30 to 40 years old and standing between 5'8" to 6'1". At the time he was wearing a dark blue hat, long sleeve gray shirt or sweater and black pants. The second suspect is between 5'7" and 5'11" tall and was last seen wearing a dark blue hoodie and blue jeans. The truck involved in the crime is described as a dark, late model extended-cab pick-up truck, possibly a Dodge.
