PKK's Pre-Election Threat A similar statement was given by the co-president of PKK's parallel state structure, KCK's so-called executive council, Bese Hozat before the elections on 7 June 2015. Hozat wrote, " if HDP fails to get into parliament, Turkey will turn to Vietnam", in an article that was published in "Ozg"ur G"undem, a pro-PKK publication on 20 May 2015. New York Times 'Hopeful' About PKK's Ceasefire Offer New York Times newspaper reported the attack in Ankara and claimed that the ceasefire proposal of the PKK terrorist organization is a "promising signal for peace". Reporters announced that PKK "declared ceasefire as expected before the elections". But according to New York Times reporters "it is not clear if the violence will de-escalate, because the government seems persistent on the military operations against the PKK". Also, American CNN International pointed out ISIS as the main suspect of the attack and published views of the experts that support this thesis. Turkey Must Forcefully be Aligned The British Independent newspaper's article, published on 22 September 2015, demanded that Turkey must be pressured to side with PKK/PYD. The article claimed that the only way to defeat ISIS is supporting the YPG and argued that "the United States should ask Turkey to stop attacking the PKK in the most strongest tone". Aydinlik Newspaper, 11 October 2015 Henri Barkey - This Attack is the Intervention of United States to the course of operations by the Turkish Armed Forces Against the PKK Turkish Patriotic Party's Secretary General Dr. Serhan Bolluk stated that the United States is behind the terrorist attack in Ankara. Bolluk said, "Turkish Armed Forces and Russia have both been targeting the pawns of the United States in the Middle East" and pointed out the statement of Henri Barkey. "The aim of the United States is to stop the operations against the PKK", Bolluk added. What was the purpose of the massacre in Ankara?
