Panama's president vows no let up in his country's push for transparency amid an ongoing scandal revolving around offshore accounts linked to several world leaders and their associates. Panamanian President Juan Carlos Varela's statement comes as fallout from leaked documents grows around the globe. Up to 11 million leaked documents from a Panamanian law firm revealed several world leaders were involved in offshore accounts to conceal personal wealth and gain benefit. Earlier, Moscow brushed off allegations that Russian officials were involved in the scandal, saying the effort to discredit President Vladimir Putin is doomed to fail. The scandal has engulfed several high profile figures including international football star Lionel Messi, and the family of Xi Jinping; the Chinese president.
