Coming from an under represented philosophical background, I rarely harbor exceptional vitriol towards a politician of one side or the other, including Hillary Clinton, until now. While I doubt that Hillary would have significantly different policies from any other politician that manages to somehow raise the hundreds of millions of dollars necessary to find a seat in the Oval Office, she has now been exposed beyond a reasonable doubt as someone who can ruthlessly and with a light heart engage is activity she knows to be morally reprehensible if not downright evil. I will spare you the political condemnations and broad attacks on ideology, because it is my opinion that someone who is willing to act in a behavior displayed here does not care about liberal or conservative, republican or democrat, communist or capitalist, because despite personal feelings and historical misdeeds, those all would imply a fundamental intention of bringing good to this world regardless of potentially misguided mechanics. This is the act of someone merely pursuing personal gain. The audio recording acquired by the Washington Free Beacon , recorded in the 1980's, contains a conversation between Hillary Clinton and Journalist Roy Reed. In it the two discuss the 1975 case of Thomas Alfred Taylor who was accused of raping a 12 year old girl. I encourage all of you to listen to the recording in it's entirety, but the significant quote in which Hillary expresses her belief of Taylors guilt is when she says "He (Taylor) took a lie detector test. I had him take a polygraph, which he passed, which forever destroyed my faith in polygraphs," which was followed by her laughter. While I wish something such as this could easily sink a political career in its entirety, I fear this will be a relic by the time 2016 rolls around. Some politicians are just too big to fail, and in this era where corrupt politicians of yesterday are news anchors today, a decades old sin just might make wikipedia.
