Englewood, NJ - A jewelry store robber who fled into the city's sewers in April turned himself in to police in Florida on Thursday, authorities said. Barris G. Simpson, 24, of Englewood, walked into the lobby of the Cocoa Police Department in Florida and told the desk officer he was wanted in New Jersey and "tired of running," Englewood Police Detective Capt. Timothy Torell said. Cocoa Police took him into custody. Simpson was transferred to Brevard County Jail, where he awaits extradition back to New Jersey.
