Across Ukraine, municipalities were beginning to dismantle the statues of Vladimir Lenin in an effort to rid the country of the communism that the monument represents. However, in the village of Semenovka, as they were removing the statue, the crane that was holding it dropped it, leading to the head of Lenin breaking clear off of the rest of the bust.
