At the Sears Pointless race at the Sonoma Raceway, racers can purchase and fabricate their vehicles with a price tag that can't exceed $500. During the race, one of the racers, Tomcat, failed to check his blindspot before attempting to take the inside track and nicked the front bumper of a fellow racer, Homer, causing him to skid and crash into a barrier.
