Some vital parts (translating from Czech) 12th of August, village of Stepanovka Kolya, it's fucked up, we are shooting artillery and not changing our positions, tell that to the commander! ........ They told us to stay here ....... Igor was lucky, he and his two mates were send for a terrain exploration ....... guys moved no more than 4km and saw a convoy of 21 T-90 tanks .... the scouts asked for an artillery fire ...... tanks waited for an hour but no artillery fire ..... a convoy 30 kamaz trucks with people joined the convoy ...... after this scouts learned later the commanders reacted by bailing Stepanovka ..... 10pm, Stepanovka fully surrounded and the catastrophe begins, 2 hours of GRAD fire, then a tank attack together with the infantry .... next day scouts finally able to connect via radio ..... order to regroup in Solnechno ..... scouts shocked, the 30th bridgade was left with only 2 functional tanks ..... another regroup in Novogrod to count the loses ..... out of 4500 soldiers, only 83 showed up, around 500 others were alive in various parts of Ukraine, mostly medics, snipers and repairers ..... the fate of the 4000 soldiers is 'unknown' So basically they had the knowledge of the attack hours beforehand and the only thing that happened was the bailing of commanders
