Those on the streets include men, women and even children, while a group of protesters brought a dash of irony to proceedings by driving inside a model of Thomas the Tank Engine. The atmosphere was tense and a number of arrests were made, including one photographer and a legal advisor. Security forces reportedly used pepper spray on some protesters at close range and fired tear gas into the crowd. Community peace keepers were also out in the street, attempting to control the crowd. At least 78 people were arrested on Monday and early on Tuesday, with the number expected to rise after the latest round of protests. Ferguson officials have demanded "reconciliation" and called for calm after another black male was killed by police on Tuesday afternoon.
