Yes our lovely Conservative party has admitted that the NHS is still 'on the table' as they put it, in the EU-US trade, which will leave our NHS exposed to Wall Street. Interested in how many people actually know about protests this weekend and about the deal itself. You don't see very much about it on the BBC at the moment. In fact they fail to mention the NHS at all on today's report on the TTIP. How strange?....... (Sarc) As reported on by huffingtonpost.co.uk the weekend of the 30/31 of august saw protests in London over the widely reported Translantic trade and investment partnership (TTIP)deal. The huff post claims that Lord Livingston the UK trade Minister has confirmed that the NHS had not been excluded from talks about the TTIP, insisting that it was because it would "not see any change to its existing obligations". The huff post then goes on to quote Len McCluskey general secretary of Unite Union making the point of "Lord Livingstone tried to claim that the NHS won't be affected, in that case why is the NHS included in the deal and why can't the government just take the NHS out of TTIP? The government needs to stop trying to pull the wool over our eyes and veto the inclusion of the NHS in TTIP now." All available at, http://ift.tt/1q57yQ9 This has also been echoed by online petitions on social media and on government websites. The absence of any real mention of the inclusion of the NHS as part of this deal on any of the major news networks in Britain shows that it's not something the Tory party want us to know too much about. Why is it part of this deal and why does it need to be exposed to the rest of the worlds corporations? The French have said that their film industry will not be included to protect it. With the NHS probably being the one greatest privilege that we have in this country, a real achievement to have kept it past it's original plans and to have it to this day. Why are we offering it up? Yes it costs us all but at the same time I don't want to worry that if my son hurts himself in the future that it may come down to wether or not we have the right insurance or whatever. This of course doesn't mean that the whole NHS is about to be sold off. But putting in the deal leaves it very exposed to big corporate names and even opens the possibility of it being used by these companies, they will find their ways I'm sure! If you are not from Britain please consider having a health care service that comes to you free of charge and that has been around for over 60 years saving lives and helping millions. Consider then that your government is willing to put it under threat.
