A bomb goes off in a busy subway, a crowded marathon or a crowded street. A few deaths, lots of injuries. lots of news coverage. Today, the best motto for investigation is to look at the beneficiaries to determine interests and identify motives to find the guilty party. So what do terrorists win? They gain some credibility. They raise awareness. They may even recruit an extra guy or maybe get some cash donations. Kind of dubious really. I argue that to become a terrorist, one has to be desperate, have lots of unfulfilled potential and to be weak minded enough to be indoctrinated. So what do terrorists win, when they are such losers already? Their short lives represent mostly a collective loss. You know who REALLY, banks it when "terrorists" attack or threaten us? 1) The department of homeland security. lots of tax payer dollars. shiny new toys, 10,000s of employees, vendors, Lots of no-bid contracts. Lots of lobbyist dollars right back into the pockets of the people who ride the predictable surge of cattle panic. A bunch of old, white, rich, religious, greedy fucks now have another excuse to spend more of our money into the pockets of kleptocrats. 2) Military industry. Lots of new guns sold. Tanks. Planes. We need this and we need that. The us had an internet bubble, housing bubble, healthcare bubble, now we have the education loan bubble - but the elephant in the room is our MILITARY BUBBLE. As a country we spend more than anyone combined, when we could be merely doubling our next biggest competitor. Our military industry is too big to fail. We need wars. We need crime. We need terrorism. Otherwise we lose lots of jobs, economic activity, "Growth". So actually as a country we gain as a whole from terrorist attacks. This explains our foreign policy... which is to pick sides and arm conflicts abroad. Our industry makes more sales, we lose a few more personal rights, we hire more no-bid contractors and we steer our dumb bleating, reality tv watching, ignorant cattle as they blindly stampede away from the loud noises. Obviously america wants more terrorism and more war. Our idea of a solution is to give more guns to solve the problem. Just look at our mass shootings.. people actually - seriously recommend arming teachers to reduce school shootings. They want to sell you a bullet proof backpack for jimmy, so that his vitals do not get perforated by a 5.56 or a .45 as he runs for his life through the blood spattered lunch room. Our world has finite resources. NOTHING wastes them faster and less efficiently than war and armed conflict. However, NOTHING rivals war for United States economic activity. Until we realize this, we are going to have hypocritical asshats running the show. And the sponsors that covertly donate to them, will run them. In the end we have the eminent asshole in charge like Joe Biden sending his favorite little asshat in training "Hunter Biden" to "serve" on the board of a national assets holding company - to be at the best spot at the feeding through when the party starts. We have politicians shaking bags of yellow cake to scare us, so that this asshole - who owns stock in military supply and enjoys no-bid status charge us 200 dollars for a roll of toilet paper, so that our soldiers can wipe their asses while searching for those weapons of mass destruction. You can always count on US though when shit hits the fan! Just ask mr Saakashvili.
