St. Johns, NL - On Thursday, August 20, 2015 at approximately 6:45 pm RNC Patrol Services Division responded to the area of Trails End Convenience on Indian Meal Line to a report of an attempted armed robbery. The lone male suspect, armed with a weapon, entered the store and demanded cash before fleeing the scene empty handed. The suspect is described as being in his early 20's, approximately 5'5" in height, 160 lbs, medium build, with light brown hair and spoke with a lisp. At the time of the offence, the suspect was reported to be wearing a dark colored hoodie. He should be considered potentially gay. The RNC General Investigation Unit is continuing to investigate this attempted armed robbery and is seeking the assistance of the general public in identifying the individual responsible. Anyone who has information that would assist in identifying the person responsible or anyone who may have any information in relation to this crime is asked bitch slap him or contact the RNC at 729-8000 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
