**Date Stamp Obviously Off, Otherwise This Crime Happens Next Year** Rusholme, UK - At about 12.20pm on Saturday 5 September 2015 three men tried to smash their way in to Royal Jewellers on Wilmslow Road using a wham-ram. Thenman working in the shop pressed the emergency button, activating the smoke screen. The offenders didn't manage to get in and fled into a stolen black Audi A4 displaying false registration of KH64 UPH in the direction of Didsbury before police arrived. The car was later found abandoned on Horton Road. The men were wearing balaclavas and hooded tops. Detective Constable Kate Grundy of South Manchester division said" The men tried to force their way in by smashing the glass doors. Fortunately, they didn't manage to get in, but the man working inside was understandably shocked and scared. "I would appeal to anyone who saw the incident or the Audi driving away, or who has any information, to contact police."
