Sterling Heights planners rejected a special land use permit for developers hoping to build a mosque in the city. The city's Planning Commission voted 9-0 Thursday night against the 20,500-square-foot worship space proposed for 15 Mile Road between Mound and Ryan. The meeting was packed for the vote, and opponents of the mosque gathered outside of the city building to await the decision. Following the vote, Fox 2 Detroit got video of protestors cheering the decision: http://ift.tt/1ij5qUu God Bless America! Imam claims Chaldean Iraqi Christians were the force behind the rejection. Claims they are as bad as ISIS. Tells them that even though their families were slaughtered by Muslims in Iraq, they weren't really Muslims, they were fake Muslims and this mosque would be peaceful.
