Let's look at recent history, as in the last 7 years in particular with backing 'Freedom Fighters' and 'The Arab Spring'. Who have been the major players and the necessary look at what progressives(The New Socialist Liberal Elite). I find much intrigue in whats taken place in Libya these past few years and what led up to it. A country that was content and well taken care of, all of a sudden had a revolution that developed in less than a year and killed thousands! 1. In Libya a home is considered a natural human right In Gaddafi's Green Book it states: "The house is a basic need of both the individual and the family, therefore it should not be owned by others". Gaddafi's Green Book is the formal leader's political philosophy, it was first published in 1975 and was intended reading for all Libyans even being included in the national curriculum. 2. Education and medical treatment were all free Under Gaddafi, Libya could boast one of the best healthcare services in the Middle East and Africa. Also if a Libyan citizen could not access the desired educational course or correct medical treatment in Libya they were funded to go abroad. 3. Gaddafi carried out the world's largest irrigation project The largest irrigation system in the world also known as the great manmade river was designed to make water readily available to all Libyan's across the entire country. It was funded by the Gaddafi government and it said that Gaddafi himself called it "the eighth wonder of the world". 4. It was free to start a farming business If any Libyan wanted to start a farm they were given a house, farm land and live stock and seeds all free of charge. 5. A bursary was given to mothers with newborn babies When a Libyan woman gave birth she was given 5000 (US dollars) for herself and the child. 6. Electricity was free Electricity was free in Libya meaning absolutely no electric bills!7. Cheap petrol during Gaddafi's reign the price of petrol in Libya was as low as 0.14 (US dollars) per litre. 8. Gaddafi raised the level of education Before Gaddafi only 25% of Libyans were literate. This figure was brought up to 87% with 25% earning university degrees. 9. Libya had It's own state bank Libya had its own State bank, which provided loans to citizens at zero percent interest by law and they had no external debt. 10. The gold dinar Before the fall of Tripoli and his untimely demise, Gaddafi was trying to introduce a single African currency linked to gold. Following in the foot steps of the late great pioneer Marcus Garvey who first coined the term "United States of Africa". Gaddafi wanted to introduce and only trade in the African gold Dinar - a move which would have thrown the world economy into chaos. The Dinar was widely opposed by the 'elite' of today's society and who could blame them. African nations would have finally had the power to bring itself out of debt and poverty and only trade in this precious commodity. They would have been able to finally say 'no' to external exploitation and charge whatever they felt suitable for precious resources. It has been said that the gold Dinar was the real reason for the NATO led rebellion, in a bid to oust the outspoken leader. So, was Muammar Gaddafi a Terrorist? Few can answer this question fairly, but if anyone can, it's a Libyan citizen who has lived under his reign? Whatever the case, it seems rather apparent that he did some positive things for his country despite the infamous notoriety surrounding his name. And that's something you should try to remember when judging in future. This quirky video documentary spells out an interesting, if rather different, story from the one we think we know. Libya had a 144 tons of gold The United States Federal Reserve hasnt owned any gold since 1934. Gaddafi became the de facto leader of the country on 1 September 1969 after leading a group of young Libyan military officers against King Idris I in a bloodless coup d''etat. After the king had fled the country, the Libyan Revolutionary Command Council (RCC) headed by Gaddafi abolished the monarchy and the old constitution and proclaimed the new Libyan Arab Republic, with the motto "freedom, socialism, and unity". After coming to power, the RCC government initiated a process of directing funds toward providing education, health care and housing for all. Despite the reforms not being entirely effective, public education in the country became free and primary education compulsory for both sexes. Medical care became available to the public at no cost but providing housing for all was a task the RCC government was not able to complete. Under Gaddafi, per capita income in the country rose to more than US $11,000, the fifth highest in Africa. The increase in prosperity was accompanied by a controversial foreign policy, with increased political repression at home. During the 1980s and 1990s, Gaddafi openly supported rebel movements like Nelson Mandela's African National Congress, the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Irish Republican Army and the Polisario Front (Western Sahara), which led to a deterioration of Libya's foreign relations with several countries and that culminated in the US bombing of Libya in 1986. After the 9/11 attacks, however, the relations were mostly normalised. In early 2011, a civil war broke out in the context of the wider "Arab Spring". The anti-Gaddafi forces formed a committee named the National Transitional Council, on 27 February 2011. It was meant to act as an interim authority in the rebel-controlled areas. After a number of atrocities were committed by the government, with the threat of further bloodshed, a multinational coalition led by NATO forces intervened on 21 March 2011 with the aim to protect civilians against attacks by the government's forces. At the same time, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant against Gaddafi and his entourage on 27 June 2011. Gaddafi was ousted from power in the wake of the fall of Tripoli to the rebel forces on 20 August 2011, although pockets of resistance held by forces loyal to Gaddafi's government held out for another two months, especially in Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte, which he declared the new capital of Libya on 1 September 2011. The fall of the last remaining cities under pro-Gaddafi control and Sirte's capture on 20 October 2011, followed by the subsequent killing of Gaddafi, marked the end of the Libyan Arab Jamahiriya. Arab Spring refers to the democratic uprisings that arose independently and spread across the Arab world in 2011. The movement originated in Tunisia in December 2010 and quickly took hold in Egypt, Libya, Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan. Name any corporation or bank, hedge fund that doesnt have Hilllary in their pocket, even her son-in-law lost 9 Billion dollars in the Greek economic fail by shady investments. It amazes me that the Bern Bernie clan have donated as much as they have, unfortunately if they knew the history of the Clintons they'd know there is more to their history than just 'scandals', scandals dont mean youre innocent, it means you havent been caught....
