As an American, who has lived abroad, and dealt with the immigration systems of other countries, I am tired of our open border. I have come up with a solution, that is a win/win, no brainer. Most western countries, use strict immigration controls, giving the receiving country full power to decide who comes in. Some are better than others. Those who fail to control their borders, understand the damage and dangers of loose regulations. (see the EU and Brittain) The countries with the strictest border control, are places no one wants to go to anyway. These nations condemn any action taken by the US, as they use harsh punishments, and fast deportation in the rest of the cases of illegal entry. I ask this simple question. Why are there multiple military bases, in the interior states? Kentucky is home to several bases, housing the Armor training at Ft. Knox, and airborne divisions, not so far away. The bases have large training areas, including live fire ranges, from small arms, to M1 Abrams, and 155mm artillery. What exactly are they protecting in these landlocked states? Is there something special about the mud of Kentucky? From personal experience, I am confident that the climate/terrain of Arizona, is far more effective training environment, which matches our modern risk conditions. With that said, I propose the following. Why doesn't the US move the bulk of their CONUS forces, to the border states. Giving them permanent home, in these states, and opening all live fire ranges, along the border. This would provide a buffer, which no one would cross. It would minimize the amount of fence that would need to be built, saving the tax payers billions of dollars. It would also put the bulk of our forces, in a protective posture on our southern border. Anyone that has military experience, especially in armor /artillery /airpower, know the dangers of our military ranges. They are death zones, scarred and pock marked from shells and bombs. No place for someone looking to pick fruit, clean bathrooms, plant trees or paint houses, wants to hang around, or walk through. This solution is simple, common sense, and effective. Every nation has the absolute right to protect and enforce their borders. Anyone that claims otherwise, would never allow anyone in their home, with out their consent, and are hypocrites. If they deny this, ask for their home address, grab your friends, tell them to invite their friends, and pick up anyone hanging outside 7-11 and home depot, and bring them to the "open house", see how these liberals react to all the strangers, rampaging through their home. Make sure to bring some MS-13 guys, with lots of teardrop face tattoos, also as many non-English speakers, who are drunk, have an attraction for young children, and carry no identification. Nothing is more sobering to hypocrisy, than a face full of truth. I know my idea won't please everyone, probably less than half will agree with it. Again, I ask everyone to consider the "house party" as described, and read my proposal again. Finally, ask yourself if my ideas, or those of Washington, and the liberal elites, are better for the nation.
