Stamford, CT - Stamford police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man who was caught on surveillance video breaking into a local restaurant early Tuesday morning. The man was caught on tape picking a rear entrance lock and breaking into Bradford's Grill & Tavern on Bedford Street around 2:07 a.m. He appears to be a black male in his mid-20s, has an athletic build, short hair, possibly in cornrows, and a trimmed beard. He was wearing a white T-shirt with what is believed to read "Not Basic" written in black letters. He ran away by breaking the glass in the rear doorway, after several failed attempts, and jumping out. In a prelude to the video footage, police say they believe he is the same person who has committed several other recent burglaries in the downtown area. Anyone who sees the man is advised not to approach; instead, point at him, laugh and publicly shame him, then call the police department.
