Local news trespasses onto railway and does interviews on a live running line, 50mph speed limit, in less than 100m visibility dense fog. They are lucky not to have been killed. A train traveling at 50mph would have less than 4 seconds from seeing them to hitting them. A girl was killed on the crossing after crossing with in ear headphones in the dark, without looking for trains. As a result the crossing is being blamed and the railway wants to close it. Residents oppose this as they cannot cross anywhere else. So they staged a protest ON THE CROSSING in dense fog with less than 100m visibility. The photographer is trespassing on railway land. They had no way of knowing when a train could have passed the crossing. They also had no way of knowing whether the 3rd rail current was off. Even if the conditions were perfect, emergency braking from a train once it had seen them would not be effective, trains take miles to stop - steel wheel steel rail.
