Staten Island, NY - Police are asking for the public's help identifying and locating a man wanted for questioning in connection with a robbery attempt inside a Mariner's Harbor deli last month, according to the NYPD's Deputy Commissioner of Public Information. The man entered the 'Nothing but the Best Deli' on Jan. 25 and approached the store's counter and tried to hit the 25-year-old male employee with a pipe in an attempt to grab the cash register, according to police. Police said the man was unsuccessful in his attempt to rob the deli and fled the 182 South Ave. location empty handed. Police are searching for a 30-to-35-year-old black man, roughly 6 feet tall, weighing about 180 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, a black and white winter hat, camouflage pants and dark colored shoes.
